General Questions
Every Camping Unit staying on site needs a Camping Pass.( IE. Tent, RV, Camper, Trailer). If you plan on camping, you need a camping pass. If you are staying the night at home or in accommodations off site then you do not need a camping pass.
No. We will allow 4 People to camp per Campsite/Or per camp unit. If you have more than 4 adults than you will have to buy another camp pass.
Absolutely no glass is permitted anywhere on the site. This includes liquor & beer bottles, jars of pickles, olives, or anything else in a glass jar. NO GLASS – NO EXCEPTIONS.
The events at Tailcreek are all ages. Children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. Beer gardens during special events are 18+, no minors. Children under the age of 12 are free.
If you do not want to camp onsite there are options. We recommend staying at Alix Lake Campground in Alix, Ph: (403) 318-0174 or you can stay at the Haunted Lake Campground, Ph: (403) 747-2330. Also there is the Tailcreek Campground at Content Bridge, Ph: (403).742.0777
Yes, you can only bring your own alcohol if you are camping. You will not be allowed to bring your own alcohol into the concert bowl area or the motor sports grandstands area. Absolutely no glass is permitted anywhere on the site. Make sure all your alcohol is in either cans or plastic. For those that are not camping, there will be beer gardens in the concert bowl area and also the motor sports area that will offer beer as well as hard alcohol. Absolutely no tailgate parties in the Day Parking area.

The Motorsports grandstand area is all ages so kids are allowed. During bigger events if there are private beer gardens then the beer garden will be 18+ only.
Yes. If you plan on entering the Beer Garden areas you must have valid identification and be over the age of 18. All ID must be government issued (Drivers License, Identification Card, Passport).
The nearest gas station / convenience store is in Alix, Alberta, about 10 minutes from the festival site. Red Deer & Stettler are also close by if you are looking for a city or town with more amenities.
- Pets MUST be kept within your campsite/or walk them on a leash.
- Pets are not permitted to run free on the grounds (safety of everyone)
- Pets are not permitted in the spectator areas at any time during the event.
- Pets are NOT allowed in the playground area AT ANY TIME
- Pet owners are obligated to “clean-up” after their pets.
- We recommend leaving them at home because of loud engines/race trucks and Cars, traffic and fireworks. If they run off Tail creek assumes No responsibility.
This policy is subject to change at the discretion of Tailcreek Raceway management.
CSA approved Gas appliances and burners are welcome. Please keep your fire attended at all times!
From Alix on HWY 12 go east 6km and follow blue tourism signs. Tailcreek Raceway is located at the junction of HWY 12 and HWY 21 North. Watch for the signs.
Camping Questions
No, camping stalls are first-come first-served. If you want to camp together, arrive together.
Yes, we recommend you arrive early so you can park where you want.
We would prefer you not leave the site if there are lineups as we do not want to congest the road coming in. If there is minimal traffic this should not be an issue.
Unfortunately, no. For those of you that are bringing an RV, we recommend bringing your own generator. Please remember to lock and store your generator in a safe place. Tail Creek will not be responsible for any damaged or stolen items. **You are not allowed to plug into any light towers or generators. Your cord will be cut. NO EXCEPTIONS**
Smaller events No, there will be no showers. we recommend the Alix lake campground on main street in Alix. They have a great shower and charge a minimal fee.
NO. Respect the grounds and clean up after yourself. Take everything you came with. We want to be able to continue to have events at Tailcreek Raceway year after year, and your help in keeping the grounds clean goes a long way in making this happen.
No. Garbage bins will be located throughout the campsite areas and we kindly ask to do your part and take out your own garbage. We appreciate your assistance on helping keep Tailcreek clean!
Parking Questions
Yes, day parking is available! We kindly ask you to have your vehicle removed off the grounds by 8am the following morning. Failure to do so will result in your vehicle being towed at your own expense. If you decided to stay a weekend camp pass can be purchased at our front gate. Camping in the day parking areas will not be tolerated.
